Terms & Conditions
The terms for using the Chief Electric website and sending us requests.
Effective date: October 18, 2026. Last updated: October 18, 2026.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of chiefelectric.com (the "Website") and to requests you send us through it. They are an agreement between you and Chief Electric ("Chief Electric," "we," "us" or "our"). By using the Website or sending a form, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
Electrical work is performed only under a separate written quote, contract or work order that you approve (your "Service Agreement"). If these Terms and your Service Agreement conflict, your Service Agreement controls for that work.
2. Requests sent through the Website
Sending a form does not create a contract or a confirmed appointment. Online booking requests are confirmed only when we contact you to confirm a time. Membership forms are requests for a callback: they do not enroll you in a plan and do not authorize any charge. Before you enroll in any plan, we will give you its full terms, including price, billing frequency, any minimum term, renewal and cancellation terms, and ask for your agreement.
You agree to give accurate information and to send requests only for property you own or are authorized to arrange work for. Please do not enter passwords, payment details or access codes in Website forms.
3. Prices, estimates and website content
Price ranges on the Website, including results from the panel upgrade estimator, are preliminary and for general information only. They are based on limited information and typical conditions in our service area, and they do not include permit or utility fees unless stated. They are not quotes or offers. Your price is set only in a written quote or Service Agreement after we see the job, and it may change only through a written change order you approve, for example if hidden conditions or inspector or utility requirements call for additional work.
Articles, guides and other Website content are general information, not professional advice for your specific home. Rebate, incentive and financing information is set by third parties and may change; we do not guarantee eligibility or approval.
4. Coupons, specials and financing
Coupons and specials are subject to the terms shown on each offer. Financing is provided by third-party lenders, subject to credit approval and the lender's terms. Chief Electric is not a lender and does not make credit decisions.
5. Calls, texts and email
By entering your phone number or email address in a form, you ask us to contact you about that request by call, text or email. You can ask us to stop at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy. Our forms do not sign you up for marketing.
6. Acceptable use of the Website
You may use the Website for personal, lawful purposes. You agree not to submit false information or another person's information without permission, send spam or automated submissions, interfere with the Website's operation or security, or copy Website content, pricing tools or images for commercial use.
7. Reviews and feedback
Feedback you send us privately is used to improve our service and is not published. Nothing in these Terms limits your right to post an honest review of Chief Electric anywhere.
8. Intellectual property
The Website's text, design, logos, photographs and tools belong to Chief Electric or its licensors. Other companies' names and logos shown on the Website belong to their owners and identify equipment we install or service; showing them does not mean those companies endorse us.
9. Other websites
The Website links to websites run by others, such as lenders, manufacturers, utilities and review sites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
10. Website provided as is
The Website is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the Website, including that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free. Warranties for electrical work are only those stated in your Service Agreement or invoice and any manufacturer warranties.
11. Limitation of liability for Website use
To the extent permitted by law, Chief Electric is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website. This section applies to the Website only. Our responsibilities for electrical work are set by your Service Agreement and the law, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Before starting any legal action about the Website, you agree to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
13. Contractor license
Chief Electric is a California electrical contractor. Contractors are required by law to be licensed and regulated by the Contractors State License Board, which has jurisdiction to investigate complaints against contractors if a complaint regarding a patent act or omission is filed within four years of the date of the alleged violation. A complaint regarding a latent act or omission pertaining to structural defects must be filed within ten years of the date of the alleged violation. Any questions concerning a contractor may be referred to the Registrar, Contractors State License Board, P.O. Box 26000, Sacramento, CA 95826, or www.cslb.ca.gov.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. Changes apply to Website use and requests sent after that date, not to work already agreed in a Service Agreement.
