Solar Service
Fixes for solar you already own: inverters, monitoring, critter guards, roof-job removal and reinstall, and orphaned systems.
Solar should quietly make power for 25 years. Then the inverter dies, monitoring goes dark, squirrels move in, and the installer stops answering.
We don't sell new solar; our sister company, Elevation Energy Solutions, does. We fix systems already on your roof, whoever installed them, and tell you straight whether repair or upgrade makes more sense.

How a solar service call goes
- Check the data. We read your monitoring history and bills to see when and how production changed.
- Test on site. We test the inverter, optimizers or microinverters, strings, connections and production meter.
- Fix or replace. We file warranty claims when they apply.
- Back online. Monitoring back online, production confirmed before we leave.

Solar around here
Most of our solar customers are on PG&E or SMUD. Many Sacramento, Elk Grove, Folsom, Roseville and Davis systems date from the 2010s rebate years, their installers long gone. Under California's net billing, an offline system costs more than it used to.
Solar service questions
Do you install new solar panels?
No. Elevation Energy Solutions, our sister company, does new installs. We repair existing systems, whoever installed them.
How much does it cost to replace a solar inverter?
Typically $2,900 to $5,800 for a string inverter, parts and labor. Microinverter and optimizer systems are priced per failed unit. Under warranty? You mostly pay labor.
My solar company went out of business. Who can service my system?
We can. We check what's still under warranty and get it producing again.
Why did my solar production drop?
Common culprits: a failed inverter, a tripped breaker, new shade, dirty panels, animals, or a monitoring glitch faking a drop. We test to find which.
