Service for Systems Whose Installer Closed
Several big solar companies folded. Your manufacturer warranties still stand, and we can service the system.
Signs your system needs help
- The installer's number is disconnected
- A warranty claim nobody will file
- A system dead for months
- A leak or electrical problem and no one to call
How a service visit goes
- List the gear, register it in your name
- Find the problem and fix it
- File the equipment warranty claims
- Get your monitoring running
What moves the price
- Inverter, wiring, panels or monitoring
- Roof access and panel count
- Parts still under manufacturer warranty
- Remove and reinstall: array size, roofer's schedule
Permits for solar work
Repairs usually skip the permit. Inverter swaps, remove-and-reinstall and added equipment typically need one, and some changes go to your utility. Fees are on the quote.
Brands we service
Brand names and logos are trademarks of their owners and are shown to identify the equipment we install and service. Chief Electric installs and services Enphase, Qcells Q.HOME, SolarEdge and SMA equipment. Chief Electric is an independent contractor and is not affiliated with these manufacturers.
Solar service questions
Are my solar warranties gone if the installer closed?
Mostly not. Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla and panel warranties stand. Only workmanship went with the installer.
Can you take over my solar monitoring?
Yes.
Do you charge for the visit?
Repairs start with a flat diagnostic fee, quoted when you book and waived on any repair over $500. Quotes for installs and upgrades are free.
