What to expect

How a visit goes, from booking to sign-off.

Your visit, step by step

Same six steps every time, from a dead outlet to a new 200 amp panel.

1. You book

Call us or schedule online. Tell us what's going on in your own words. First come, first served, 24/7, with same-day openings whenever we have one.

2. We confirm

You get your appointment time by text or email. If anything changes, you hear it before it happens, not after.

3. We look and listen

A licensed electrician walks the problem with you, tests at the panel and the device, and explains what they find. You see what we see.

4. You approve the price

Your quote lists the work, the price and any permit or utility fees on separate lines. No today-only deals.

5. We do the work

Under permit when code calls for it. Floors protected, panel labeled, the area cleaned up.

6. Inspection and sign-off

We book the inspection and hand you the signed-off paperwork. Warranty terms are printed on your quote, so you know where you stand.

Before we arrive

Nothing special needed. A few small things help us finish faster and keep your bill down.

  • Clear a path to your panel, and to the problem area if you can
  • Jot down when the problem happens and what was running at the time
  • Snap a photo of the panel label if it's about an upgrade or replacement
  • When we call to confirm, mention pets, parking and how to get in
  • If anything smells hot or sparks, turn off that breaker and tell us when you book

After the job

An invoice that matches your quote, the permit sign-off when there is one, and a labeled panel so the next person who opens it knows what's what. Want us to keep an eye on things? Chief Club memberships include a yearly safety inspection and priority scheduling.

Questions about your visit

How long does a visit take?

Most repair visits take one to two hours, fix included when the part is on the truck. Installs and upgrades get their own appointment once you approve the quote. A panel upgrade is usually one working day.

Do I need to be home?

For the first visit, yes, so we can walk the problem together and go over the price. For approved installs, many homeowners just give us access and check in at the end of the day.

Do you charge for quotes?

Install and upgrade quotes are free. Repair visits start with a flat diagnostic fee, quoted when you book, so you know the cost before we arrive.

What if the job needs a permit?

We pull it, list the fee on your quote and book the inspection. You keep the sign-off for your records, your insurer or a future buyer.

How do I pay?

Card or cash when the work is done. 0% financing on qualifying projects, subject to credit approval. Just ask when you book or at the visit.

What if something isn't right after the job?

Call or message us. Your workmanship warranty is printed on your quote and invoice, and we come back to make it right.
