Wiring Repairs
Damaged wiring, failing breakers, flickering fixtures and inspection items, fixed right, tested and permitted when required.
Wiring usually fails slowly. Heat loosens connections, mice chew attic runs, and old remodels leave splices buried in walls. Then an outlet quits, or a fixture flickers no matter which bulb you try.
We fix the damaged section with proper materials and test every circuit it touches. No buried splices, no backstabbed outlets waiting to loosen. Selling? We work the inspection report line by line and document it for buyer, seller and agent.

How a wiring repair goes
- Find it. We trace the circuit to the bad device, splice or cable run.
- Lay out options. Patch it, replace the run, or bring it to code.
- Fix it properly. Listed materials, proper boxes and connections, permits when required.
- Test and label. Every affected circuit tested, panel directory updated.
Wiring in local homes
Rodents chew foothill attics from Auburn to Grass Valley. Pre-1960 Sacramento homes have brittle cloth cable. 1965 to 1975 tracts in Citrus Heights, Carmichael and Rancho Cordova have aluminum wiring. Older Roseville and Woodland homes have do-it-yourself additions. We look before we quote.
Wiring repair questions
How do I know if my house wiring is damaged?
Warm or discolored outlets, breakers that won't reset, flicker in one area, a burning smell, buzzing, or rodents near wiring. Any one is worth an inspection.
Can you repair one bad section, or do I need a full rewire?
Usually just the damaged section. If knob and tube or cloth cable is failing throughout, we'll price rewire options and you decide.
Do you fix electrical items from a home inspection report?
Yes. We confirm each electrical item, fix it, and document the work for buyer, seller or agent.
When should a circuit breaker be replaced?
When it trips under normal load, won't reset, runs hot, looks scorched, or is a problem brand. Replacements are listed and panel-matched.
