Code Corrections

Double taps, missing GFCIs, open splices. We clear your inspector's, appraiser's or insurer's list.

Signs it's more than a fluke

  • Inspection report with electrical items
  • A permit that failed final inspection
  • Unpermitted handyman work
  • Insurer wants proof it's fixed

What we do when we get there

  1. Walk the list with you, item by item
  2. Fix it all in one visit when possible
  3. Permit any correction that needs one
  4. Completion letter with before and after photos

What moves the price

  • One device, or wiring inside the walls
  • Access: attic, crawlspace, or drywall to open and patch
  • Age and type of your wiring and panel
  • Whether a permit is required
  • Parts: same-for-same, or upgraded to current code

Permits for repair work

Like-for-like repairs usually skip permits. Panel swaps, new circuits and inspection fixes usually need one.

Repair questions we hear a lot

Do electrical corrections need a permit?

Some do, like new circuits or a panel swap. We handle it.

Can you fix another contractor's electrical work?

Yes. Hardly a week goes by that we don't.

Do you charge for the visit?

Repairs start with a flat diagnostic fee, quoted when you book and waived on any repair over $500. Quotes for installs and upgrades are free.
