Breaker Replacement

Breakers wear out. We replace bad ones, AFCI and GFCI included, with the part listed for your panel.

Signs it's more than a fluke

  • A breaker that won't stay on
  • Trips below its rated amps
  • Wrong brand for your panel
  • Burn marks near a breaker

What we do when we get there

  1. Confirm panel brand and bus type
  2. Install the listed breaker, not a look-alike
  3. Check the bus stab (where it clips on) for heat
  4. Test the trip and label the circuit

What moves the price

  • One device, or wiring inside the walls
  • Access: attic, crawlspace, or drywall to open and patch
  • Age and type of your wiring and panel
  • Whether a permit is required
  • Parts: same-for-same, or upgraded to current code

Permits for repair work

Like-for-like repairs usually skip permits. Panel swaps, new circuits and inspection fixes usually need one.

Repair questions we hear a lot

Can you swap a regular breaker for an AFCI or GFCI?

Yes, if your panel takes them. You get arc and shock protection without opening a wall.

Why does breaker brand matter?

Breakers are listed per panel. A wrong brand can fit, connect poorly and heat up.

Do you charge for the visit?

Repairs start with a flat diagnostic fee, quoted when you book and waived on any repair over $500. Quotes for installs and upgrades are free.
