Who Wells Fargo is

The Home Projects card is Wells Fargo Bank's credit card for home improvement. It is offered through contractors enrolled in the program, and Chief Electric can take it for qualifying work.

If you already bank with Wells Fargo, the card shows up in your Wells Fargo Online account once it's approved.

What you get

A revolving credit card, not a loan. Wells Fargo offers two kinds of promotions on it: no-interest-if-paid-in-full plans (deferred interest) and special-rate plans with equal monthly payments. Which ones apply depends on the purchase.

How it works with Chief Electric

  1. We build your written quote
  2. You apply for the Home Projects card through us
  3. Wells Fargo makes a credit decision
  4. We charge the job to your card under the promo you choose
  5. We do the work
  6. You pay Wells Fargo monthly

Before you sign

  • On no-interest-if-paid-in-full plans, minimum payments alone may not avoid interest. Pay the promo balance off before the promo ends.
  • Special-rate plans have equal monthly payments set by the plan.
  • You can use the card again with other participating merchants.

Paying after the job

Payments go to Wells Fargo, not to Chief Electric, through Wells Fargo's retail card account site or your Wells Fargo Online account, where you can also set up AutoPay.
